Flowers aren’t joyful, sad, or anxious, but I believe flowers mirror our emotions, capturing the moods we bring to them.

Both of my grandmothers loved gardening, but I did not understand until having my own garden.
Painting flowers was a good way for me to express feelings I tend to keep to myself. My upbringing led me to focus on the happiness of others, so no one sees or hears my concerns. However, my painting allows my true emotions to come through.

Bright colors express joy for me.
The pastels are soft and comforting to me, or maybe my shyness is there.
And with all of today's worries about child safety. paintings of whole fields of flowers create a big protective garden of love and hope.
Do any of these thoughts or prints reflect your emotions?
Emotions of Flowers

Each of these nine watercolor prints of flowers express unique emotions.
Messages of peace and calm, excitement, joy, or hope.
The impressionistic style invites you to pause and find beauty in the small things like a petal out of place or a delicate bud.

This imaginary landscape makes me believe there is love in the air. The blues help me be more contemplative and the pinks have uplifting power to overcome my quietness.
There is no reason to focus on anything in this print. Just absorb the moment and soon you will feel much better.
I love long-stem flowers! They remind me of those times when I used to dance in fancy clothes with fabulous shoes. It was great to feel like Cinderella at the Ball waiting for my Prince to sweep me off my feet!
Would love to hear your version of this story....
Sure to invite conversation, the pink flowers cling to their stems. You can see the blooms shouting their joy! Memories of special times are always fresh in our minds!
Some of the petals are a little faded but that does not make them any less beautiful.
These pink flowers, keep me focused on the positive and brave as I move forward. In this painting the path is right in front of me but the way to move forward is unclear.
Just like many things in life, there are probably several good options!
This tulip always brings a smile to everyone’s face. It is extra fancy, bold, and bright. The beautiful Pomponette Tulip is precious just like us!
This print is good fuel to help get priorities done. And do it with a smile on your face!
Poppies are dainty and confident at the same time. It is no wonder poppies are known for their longevity and durability. They inspire me to stay-the-course and accomplish things I would not otherwise.
Let the poppies give you strength!
These playful flowers remind me seeing a whole hillside of Canna Lilies that was extraordinarily beautiful. It was so remarkable that I can never forget it. A true source of inspiration.
You know that feeling when watching a sexy, romantic comedy? For me a beautiful red rose brings back those precious moments in my life.
It would be interesting to hear your feelings about the rose. Maybe it’s a first love or finding the love of your life.
The iris represents faith and hope. These flowers speak to us warmly, like no other!
They make me think of the warmth of a hug when you first see an old friend or a cuddle with a baby. Many of us would suggest the warmth of hope inspired by a bud transforming into a delicate flower.
